Scott Understands

Budgets and Will Guard

Our Tax Dollars

When Scott became a Wayne County commissioner, he implemented smart, fiscally responsible policies that averted the need for tax increases. Over the course of 12 years, Scott’s innovative management reduced government spending while increasing the services to Wayne County citizens.

After three successful terms as commissioner, Scott continued to serve Wayne County as a law maker representing our citizens in the state capital. As our representative Scott lowered taxes, fought against government overreach and authored several bills signed into law including two that helped the Clerk of Courts office increase efficiency while better serving the public.

A Tested and Experienced

Executive

Scott has executive experience as a former county commissioner board president and is currently the chair of the Ohio House State and Local Government Committee at the statehouse.

The County Clerk of Courts is first and foremost an administrator who handles a multimillion-dollar budget, oversees 34 employees, and provides a service to the tax payers.

Scott understands how the office operates because as commissioner he worked closely on the Clerk of Courts’ budget and operations with the current Clerk, Tim Neal.

As clerk, he is prepared to oversee the human resources, benefits and operations because he has already done it. Scott is ready to run an efficient office that will manage and archive all records of both the Wayne County Common Pleas Court and the Wayne County Municipal Court.

Tim Neal, our current Wayne County Clerk of Courts, is retiring after 17 years of service and has proudly endorsed Scott Wiggam to serve as the next clerk. For Wayne County citizens who value efficient, transparent, fiscally responsible officials who respect the law, Scott Wiggam is the ideal

candidate.

My Passion is Serving the People of Wayne County

“As a former Wayne County Commissioner, I have 12 years of experience working with the clerk of courts on the clerk’s budget and personnel management. I have experience managing county government budgets and supervising county employees.

As a current state lawmaker, I have served four years as the Ohio House Chairman of State and Local Government and authored two bills that directly impact the clerk of courts’ office, allowing for more efficiency and better customer service. I am eager to bring my executive experience, developed local relationships, and statewide contacts to better serve our community, and I am deeply committed to preserving the integrity of our court system.

SCOTT'S PROMISE TO THE PEOPLE OF WAYNE COUNTY

"As your next Clerk of Courts, I am committed to leveraging my years of dedicated public service to enhance the efficiency and integrity of this vital office. I will uphold our community’s values and ensure justice is served with the respect it deserves.”
