I believe in government that is small and effective. As a county commissioner I worked with other county officials to weather the fiscal storm of 2008-2010. I refused to raise taxes and instead, worked to reform local government. We made it more efficient and more effective at serving local citizens.

I believe that government spending must never increase during economic downturns when family budgets are decreasing, so I worked hard to protect the paychecks of the hardworking citizens of our county. As a result, today we are spending less money than when I became a commissioner ten years ago. At the same time, we are providing a superior level of service to Wayne County citizens. 

As a State Representative I will take the fiscal common sense we've achieved in Wayne County to Columbus so Ohio families can keep more of their hard-earned money and all citizens can follow their dreams without the fear of burdensome regulations and increasing government mandates.
